Sketchbook drawing by Dan Clowes. This one was a surprise - I haven’t been to a Clowes signing where he did sketchbook drawings since 2008, and only then because it was pouring rain and everyone but a brave few fans stayed home. I got this one at the Litquake event with Dave Eggers a couple weeks ago- at one point toward the end, there were just a few people left waiting for Eggers, and so I asked Clowes if he wouldn’t mind helping me break in my new sketchbook. To my surprise, he was game, and this is what he drew.
